Quilters' Activity Page
Picture taken from the American Quilt Story The Bees were also useful in raising money for the troops in both the North and the South during the Civil War. Quilts would be made by the women at the bees and then sold or auctioned off for money. This is was very important and patriotic contribution that middle class women made to the war effort. Much like the Quilters of old, the East Independence Church of Christ Quilters meet to enhance relationships in Christ while learning or practicing a skill that has carried from one generation to the next. We invite you to come and share in our fellowship and growth that is experienced by a wonderful group of Christians. The Quilters of the East Independence Church of
Christ This is a time of fellowship for old and young alike. If you would like to become a part of this group that is learning an old skill that is still widely practiced, call the Church Secretary (461-0266) for more information!
